Real Democracy Project
by John Judge
Coalition on Political Assassinations
Friends,
I have compiled a proposal for a Real Democracy Project that
encompasses
many of the programs I am already working on or want to establish. All
of them are critical aspects of creating real democracy in this time of
crisis, which are not being addressed fully, effectively or in some
cases at all by other organizations.

Right now, Paul Nahra, a COPA volunteer and researcher, is helping me
organize my extensive political library and files. The intelligence
library that was the basis of former CIA agent Ralph McGeehee's CIA
Base
is being supplemented with hundreds of books of my own on intelligence
history, agents, agencies, covert operations here and abroad, Vietnam
and later wars, drugs, mind control and assassinations. Two other
exhaustive libraries have been compiled on major political
assassinations and 9/11, including its historical context and
aftermath.

Another large collection focuses on activism and social critique from
the 60s to the present, including a very extensive documentation of
anti-war movements during Vietnam and since. We are still short on
shelving and file cabinets to contain all the materials and books, and
his labor is currently being donated.

I already have the skeleton in place needed to serve as an
administrative office, with much of the equipment and communications
tools in place at a very reasonable rental. Each project already has
potential staff working or ready to be tasked. My current housemate,
Mike Zmolek, also a former staffer for Rep. McKinney, will be working
with me on these projects as financial support allows.

The Real Democracy Project, as envisioned here, combines my various
local and national efforts towards peace, justice, transparency, public
education and organizing, and preservation of lost and hidden history
of
both repression and resistance to it. Without basic changes in the
structure of public enlightenment, government secrecy and covert
operations, restoration of the commonwealth, open media and schools,
and
the empowerment of direct democracy, we will never overcome the
negative
pressures of poverty, racism and militarism that were identified by Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. as our main obstacles. Working on these issues
is far more important to me right now, and to our future, than
exhausting my time and consciousness merely to accumulate money

A reasonable amount of seed money will allow us to start more serious
fundraising, through my website, lectures, sales of recordings and
writing, several upcoming books, as well as approaches to foundations
and larger donors. I am writing to you to ask you to consider making a
founding contribution to this effort. I know that some of you have
different resources, and one option would be to make a monthly donation
that would sustain the project over time. Those who can contribute a
substantial amount, I am asking to consider giving seed money either to
the whole project or any program they wish to support. If you want to
support the current work on my library, for instance, just note
"library" on the check. Donations can be made tax-deductible if needed
through "9/11 Research Project". Otherwise, a donation to COPA
(Coalition on Political Assassinations) will be earmarked for whatever
part of the RDP you designate on the check. Any donation will help at
this critical time.

I appreciate your support. If you have questions or other ideas, feel
free to contact me by email. Send donations to:
